An association, not a political party
Organisation zum Erhalt der Demokratie e.V. is registered at Amtsgericht Charlottenburg under VR 38047 B. It is based in Berlin. The executive board consists of Lars Mährholz, Christian Much and Benjamin Ott.
The association aims to bring people together across party lines. Members should initiate substantive proposals and surveys. The board reviews applications and proposals, organises the process and takes responsibility for publication. The statutes determine the formal powers of the association’s bodies.
Turning participation into work
- A proposal is submitted and reviewed. Clear wording, identifiable sources and a respectful tone help this process.
- Approved proposals become visible. Support and relevance help identify important questions; support does not automatically turn a proposal into an association resolution.
- A published survey states its question, dates and eligibility rules. Its findings can inform further action.
- A person proposed for a representative role is only listed as active after accepting that role. Meetings and campaigns have a traceable status.
Membership and responsibility
The statutes distinguish supporting members and full members. A website account, eligibility for member surveys and a statutory vote at a general meeting are different things. An account alone does not confer membership; the board decides after an application.
The entire trial phase is free. Future membership fees have not yet been set. The trial does not automatically turn into a paid agreement.Read the documented statutes, our transparency information and the legal notice. To apply, visit Become a member.
